West Covina

An ethnically diverse city where you’ll encounter Ranch, Craftsman, and Mid-Century homes.

Welcome to West Covina

Situated 19 miles east of Downtown LA in the eastern San Gabriel Valley, West Covina is an ethnically diverse city where you’ll encounter Ranch, Craftsman, and Mid-Century homes, along with newer builds on large lots. Residents embrace nature at Galster Wilderness Park, 42 acres of leafy hiking and biking trails, along with a museum and educational center. The 315-acre West Covina Sportsplex is comprised of commercial development, the Big League Dreams Sports Park, and a public golf course (nearby South Hills Country Club with its Santa Barbara Mission-style clubhouse is also popular). For a taste of local flavor, visit Porto’s Bakery for Cuban guava strudel and potato balls, Rio Picanha for Brazilian steaks, and Sheng Hui for dim sum. Shopping centers are plentiful here, but for a true SoCal experience, pull up to the nearby Vineland Drive-In, in operation since 1955 and open 365 days a year.
